Steam Boilers

Boiler Treat S is an anti scaling, liquid, soft water, steam boiler, treatment. This is a Phosphate-based cycle treatment made with a proven polymeric scale inhibitor.

Scale Inhibitor

Boiler Treat S prevents and controls lime, scale, corrosion, rust, and mineral deposits in soft water environments. This soft water treatment is safe to use with other soft treatment chemicals, especially oxygen scavengers and steam line treatments.

For Soft Water

Boiler Treatment S soft water treatment is an excellent dispersant of suspended solids and allows for more complete blow downs. It is excellent at restoring heat transfer efficiency.

Feed Boiler Treat S on a “one shot” basis or with an automated continuous system.

Continuous Feeding Recommended

Ultimately, gradual and continuous feeding is recommended for industrial process and large boilers. It may be fed with other boiler treatment chemicals, especially a steam line treatment and oxygen scavenger where needed.

The dosage will depend on the percent of condensate returned, make up water characteristics and initial cleanliness of heat transfer surfaces. The treatment program must be accompanied by a program of regular blowdown to remove sludge and suspended solids from the boiler.

For weekly maintenance add half gallon per week for each twenty-five horsepower capacity.

Authorized USDA G6: Compounds for treating boilers and steam lines where steam may contact edible products, cooling systems where treated water may not contact edible products.
